I launched King of Jewish Baseball in 2012, the first time Team Israel was invited to qualify for the World Baseball Classic. It was mostly a joke back then. I was just the bullpen catcher. I wanted to bring fans inside my experience, and make people laugh.

A lot has changed since 2012. I spent three years living in Israel, working as the executive director for the Israel Association of Baseball, and playing for the national team. We finished 6th at the 2017 WBC, made it to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, and won a silver medal at the 2021 European Championships. We have gone from being ranked 47th in the world to 19th.

It’s not a joke anymore, and I’m not just a bullpen catcher. I am the CEO of Israel Baseball Americas and the manager of the senior national team. You could say I have spent the past fifteen years trying to live up to the name.

A lot has changed, but a lot is still the same. I still want bring fans inside my experience, and I still want to make people laugh, so we are re-launching King of Jewish Baseball as we get ready for our third World Baseball Classic.

So welcome back. I am not really sure what’s going to happen next, but that’s what makes it fun.
